SuperSIP™ Panel
Certification & BPIR

Tested, Verified, and Certified for NZ Building Standards

SuperSIP™ panels are independently tested, NZ-manufactured Structural Insulated Panels (SIPs) designed to meet New Zealand Building Code requirements for structure, durability, fire safety, moisture control, and energy efficiency.

Developed by Supersub, SuperSIP™ is a high-performance SIP system delivering warmer, more energy-efficient buildings.

BPIR - SIPS (Building Product Information Requirement)

Under the New Zealand Building Act, manufacturers of building products must provide a BPIR (Building Product Information Requirement) document outlining compliance scope, performance, limitations, and maintenance requirements.

SuperSIP™ panels are classified as Class 2 building products and are supported by a compliant BPIR in accordance with regulatory requirements. To ensure the most current version is provided, access to the BPIR document is available via direct request below.

NZ Building Code Compliance Overview +

Alignment with New Zealand Building Code Clauses

SuperSIP™ panels are engineered to perform within the scope of the New Zealand Building Code when incorporated into compliant building designs and installed in accordance with approved technical details. Compliance is project-specific and may require design verification by a Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng).

NZBC Clause

Clause Title

Compliance Contribution

B1.1–B1.3

Structure
Provides load-bearing capacity and bracing performance for gravity, wind, and seismic actions subject to engineering design.

B2.1–B2.3

Durability
Designed for long-term performance when protected from moisture and detailed correctly within the building envelope.

C

Fire
EPS core contains fire-retardant additive. Suitable for small buildings within defined scope.

E2.1–E2.3

External Moisture
Functions as a stable structural substrate when used with compliant cavity and cladding systems.

F2

Hazardous Building Materials
Manufactured using materials that do not present a health hazard when installed as intended.

H1.3.1

Energy Efficiency
Continuous insulation core reduces thermal bridging and supports exterior envelope thermal performance.
Scope of Use

Application Parameters & Design Limitations

SuperSIP™ panels are intended for use within defined structural and environmental parameters when incorporated into compliant building designs. The system is suitable for residential and light commercial construction, including:
01
Buildings designed within NZS 3604 wind zones up to and including SED
02
Projects falling within the scope of E2/AS1 or supported by specific engineering design
03
Masonry veneer and drained cavity cladding systems
04
